Bharti Airtel Ltd gained 3.97% on Friday and traded Rs 603.25. The S&P BSE Telecom index is up 3.38% to quote at 1477.15. The index is up 15.38 % over the last month.
Among the other constituents of the index, HFCL Ltd increased 2.26% and Vodafone Idea Ltd gained 1.71% on the day. The S&P BSE Telecom index went up 29.29 % over last one year compared to the 18.34% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
Bharti Airtel Ltd has added 16.89% over last one month compared to 15.38% gain in the S&P BSE Telecom index and 6.33% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 97139 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 8.94 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 611.7 on 20 May 2020. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 381.05 on March 19, 2020.
On Thursday, Morgan Stanley Capital International said that Bharti Airtel will be included in its February 2021 quarterly index review. Also, National Securities Depository Ltd updated the company’s foreign investment limit to 100 % from 49 %.
