63 Moons Technologies surges 5% as MCX grapples with technical glitches

Shares of 63 Moons Technologies experienced a 5 percent surge as the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) encountered technical glitches in its commodity derivatives trading platform.

As of 12:45 pm, the MCX stock was trading at Rs 3,400 on the NSE, marking a 2.5 percent decline, while 63 Moons observed a 5 percent increase, reaching Rs 454.85.

Previously, 63 Moons had served as MCX’s tech vendor. However, the exchange transitioned to the Deutsche Börse’s T7 platform in collaboration with TCS back in December 2023.

In response to the technical issues faced by MCX, the exchange issued a filing stating, “The exchange is facing some technical issues in its commodity derivatives trading platform on February 13, and teams from the exchange as well as technology vendor TCS are working to resolve the issue.”
