Senior central government pensioners aged 80 and above are given an additional window to submit their Annual Life Certificate (ALC). While the general deadline for submission is November 30, pensioners aged 80+ can submit their ALC from October 1. All other central government pensioners are required to submit the certificate starting November 1 each year.

How to Submit a Digital Life Certificate Using Face Authentication

  1. Smartphone & Aadhaar Details: Ensure you have a smartphone with a front camera of at least 5MP and internet connectivity. Your Aadhaar number must be registered with your pension disbursing authority (e.g., bank or post office).
  2. Install Apps: Download and install the ‘AadhaarFaceRD’ and ‘Jeevan Pramaan Face App’ from the Google Play Store.
  3. Authenticate Operator: Perform operator authentication through the app and scan the operator’s face.
  4. Fill Pensioner Details: Enter the required pensioner details in the app.
  5. Scan & Submit: Take a photograph using the front camera and submit it.
  6. Receive & Download Certificate: An SMS with a link to download the Jeevan Pramaan Digital Life Certificate will be sent to your mobile. Download and submit it.

What is the Last Date to Submit Annual Life Certificate?

The last date for submitting the Annual Life Certificate is generally November 30. However, for pensioners aged 80 and above, certificates submitted from October 1 will remain valid until November 30 of the next year.

Consequences of Not Submitting the Life Certificate by the Deadline

If the life certificate is not submitted by the due date, pension payments will be paused. If submitted within the following months, pension payments will resume, and arrears will be cleared. However, if not submitted for over three years, the pension will only resume after approval by the competent authority through the CPAO (Central Pension Accounting Office).
