Sensex marginally up by 30 points

The BSE Sensex on Wednesday rose by 30 points to 65,961.16.

Mumbai, Nov 22 : The BSE Sensex on Wednesday rose by 30 points to 65,961.16 in the opening session as buying was seen in Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services, Energy and FMCG stocks.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 21.25 points to 19,804.65.

The NSE posted intraday highs and lows at 19,790.05 and 19,754.05 points, respectively.

The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 66,008.55 and 65,835.54 points, respectively.

The midcap gained 0.14 pc, while the smallcap fell by 0.19 pc.

In 30 scrips, 18 advanced, 11 declined, and one remained unchanged.

The gainers were Powergrid by 0.84 pc to 210.64, Sun Pharma by 0.68 pc to Rs 1209.90, Titan by 0.60 pc to Rs 1210.20, Reliance Industries by 0.53 pc to Rs 2391, and Tata Motors by 0.42 pc to Rs 683.80.

The losers were Kotak Bank by 0.70 pc to Rs 1754.70, ICICI Bank by 0.60 pc to Rs 920.70, TCS by 0.49 pc to Rs 3493 and IndusInd Bank by 0.36 pc to Rs 1496.65.
