Kabosu, the popular dog behind DogeCoin and has also served as inspiration to several other meme tokens has passed away on Friday. Her owner, Atsuko Sato, shared the news that her 18-year-old has died. The dog was named ‘Shiba Inu’ and became an internet sensation by creating the ‘Doge’ meme.
“She quietly passed away as if asleep while I caressed her,” wrote Sato in her blog post. The owner also thanked the fans of her dog called Kabosu, who is the face of ‘Doge’ meme.
Sato also mentioned that a farewell party will be organized for Kabo- chan on Sunday, May 26. It will be held in Nara City, Japan, from 1 pm to 4 pm.
As per the reports in media, the dog was diagnosed with cholangiohepatitis and chronic lymphoma leukaemia in 2022.
