Immunity boosters for COVID-19 according to AYUSH ministry

Till we get any effective vaccine to prevent Coronavirus, we must focus on boosting our immunity. The AYUSH ministry has released a guideline of measures to be taken during the COVID-19 pandemic to maintain optimum health.

Let us see what are the immunity boosters for  COVID-19 according to AYUSH ministry.

1) Drink lukewarm water throughout the day.
2) Add spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander and garlic into the dishes you cook.
3) Take 1 teaspoonful Chyavanprash in the morning.
4) Drink kadha twice a day. Prepare it by boiling water with basil, cinnamon, black pepper, dry ginger and raisin.
5) Drink haldi doodh twice a day. Prepare it by adding half teaspoon turmeric into 150 ml of milk.
6) Inhale steam with mint leaves and/or caraway seeds.
7) In case of throat irritation and cough, take clove powder with honey/natural sugar 2-3 times a day. If the condition persists, consult a physician.
8) Pull 1 table spoon sesame oil/coconut oil in your mouth and swish it just like mouthwash for 2-3 minutes. Do it twice a day.

AYUSH recommended these guidelines after consulting best Vaidyas of India. It doesn’t guarantee to prevent COVID-19 but it surely boosts your immunity and gives you enough strength to fight the disease.
