As we all know that, Narayana Murthy is a renowned businessman and the founder of Infosys. Also, he has held the position of chairman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), president, and chief mentor of the company.

Murthy was born and grew in Shidlaghatta, Karnataka. His birth date falls on the 20th of August, 1946.

What a lot of people might not be aware of is that Narayana Murthy was once incarcerated for 3 days without food in Bulgaria. Although, while addressing the audience at a tech-fest in IIT, Bombay, he put the students through one of the most bitter experiences in his life.

Murthy launched Infosys in 1981, along with six of his comrades. His company Infosys even achieved a contract from the famous company Reebok in the early ’90s.

Narayana’s wife’s name is Sudha Murthy who’s Padma Shri awarded Indian Author. She is also the chairperson of the Infosys foundation.

He is popularly known as the ‘Father of the Indian IT sector.
