A fake account on the identity of Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, the Education Minister, tweeted stating that there is no sense of holding final year degree exams. This brought in many reactions from those who were keen to know updates from authorities on final year exams.
As Final Year Students have taken 7 semester exams and internals for 8th sem, it makes no sense to hold their degrees only for one exam.
To help them with their jobs and further studies, I am immediately awarding degrees on past performance

The statement made in this tweet by a parody account was contrary to the words of the Minister for Education. Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal has always backed the UGC Guidelines and is firm on holding examinations in the pandemic.
Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank stresses on the fact that educational evaluation of students is a very important milestone in any educational system. “Performance in examinations gives students confidence and satisfaction, It is a reflection of their ability, performance, and reliability that is essential for global acceptance,” reads a report by DNA India quoting him.
