The previous episode of Rent-a-Girlfriend season 3 was titled “Farewell and Girlfriend.” The episode started with the hospital scene. Despite the huge crisis, Chizuru kept a keen face and tried not to cry. She wanted her grandmother to see her first feature film. Kazuya looks at all of this brings a projector into the hospital ward and starts playing Chizuru’s film.
Sayuri watches the movie for the first 10 minutes and then goes unconscious again. When the movie ends, Chizuru gets tears in her eyes and sleeps next to her grandmother. To his Sayuri grabs her hand and Chizuru explains that she lied to her by saying that she was in a relationship with Kazuya. Her grandmother says that I do not care about the lie as she was happy seeing her on-screen.
Later on, Sayuri dies and that creates a saddening moment for quite a few seconds. Chizuru exists the hospital room and asks Kazuya to go home as she is supposed to get started with her grandmother’s funeral preparations. By the end of the episode, Kazuya is still concerned about Chizuru and plans to lift her mood, the other day.
