With the show, Penn Badgley gets a new role. This season, in addition to playing the lead role, he will also serve as the show’s director. Co-creator and executive producer Sera Gamble announced the news in August on Instagram with a photo of Badgley working on Season 4’s set.

The new director gave Entertainment Tonight some information on what to anticipate with Season 4. Despite the fact that the Season 3 conclusion had Joe in Paris, Badgley said that Season 4 would really take place in London since it was less expensive to film there, even if portions of the season would still be set in the City of Love.
