
Death in Paradise’s Christmas Special broadcasted back on Boxing Day on BBC One at 9pm with this extra-long episode marking its 2nd-ever festive instalment. With a run season of 90 minutes, the team delved into the death of a podcaster. The Yuletide edition of Death in Paradis features Coronation Street’s Les Dennis and Derry Girls actress Siobhan McSweeney.
Season 11 of the hit series was released last year, and audiences watched as DS Florence Cassell (portrayed by Joséphine Jobert) left the show.

Death in Paradise Season 12 Cast
Ralf Little returns as DI Neville Parker for Death in Paradise season 12. Don Warrington, the only surviving cast member from the series’s 1st-ever episode is likewise back as the Commissioner. Elizabeth Bourgine, who’s been in the series since the 2nd episode, will be back as Catherine Bordey. Plus Shantol Jackson (Sergeant Naomi Thomas), Tahj Miles (Officer Marlon Pryce), and Ginny Holder (Darlene) are all affirmed for the new run.
Death in Paradise Season 12 Plot
A synopsis for the forthcoming festive episode reads: “A case of Selwyn’s comes back to haunt him following the murder of a true crime podcaster on the hunt for a missing child. Marlon is forced to spend the night in a haunted house and Darlene takes a hard look at her life choices. And after a chance encounter in an airport car park, could love finally be in the air for Neville Parker?”
