Master Chief has gotten back to set. Paramount+ revealed that their hit action-drama Halo, based on the well-known video game franchise of the same name, has started shooting after a successful 1st outing on the streamer. Production is right now occurring in Iceland with additional filming scheduled to happen later this year in Budapest, Hungary.

Getting the series into production for the forthcoming season has shown to be a little more challenging. Issues with weather and future plot points have slowed production a bit however have not shut it down. Here is all we know about Halo Season 2.

Halo Season 2 Release Date

Even before the debut of season 1, Paramount had already uncovered they would be renewing Halo for a season 2, however, there’s no particular release date as of now. If we have to guess, it could occur sometime around mid-to-late 2023 if post-production is finished on time for the project.

Halo Season 2 Plot

Right now, there is no affirmation or clue with respect to what Halo season 2 will be about. All we know is, season 2 will carry on the story of Master Chief as the conflict between Earth and the Covenant wages on.

Pablo Schreiber’s co-star Natascha McElhone, who portrays scientist Dr Halsey, told Radio Times, “I’ve seen a couple of scripts, but I guess I’m just hoping that the season that we’ve planted for the characters that you’ve seen in season 1 will just continue to flourish, and we’ll get deeper and darker into all of that.”
