Shark Tank India’s Aman Gupta messes with a pitcher; calls him ‘confused sperm’

Aman Gupta, boAt co-founder and CMO made fun of a pitcher as he mistakenly referred to him as Anupam.

Shark Tank India is the adaptation of Shark Tank America that started in 2009. Entrepreneurs pitch their innovative ideas, the ideas that has potential get investment by the investors. There are total seven ‘sharks’ in the show.

The seven ‘sharks’ are Aman Gupta (boAt co-founder and CMO), Ashneer Grover (BharatPe co-founder), Anupam Mittal (Shaadi.com founder and CEO), Namita Thapar (executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (CEO and co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics), Peyush Bansal (CEO and co-founder of Lenskart), and Ghazal Alagh (co-founder of MamaEarth).

A pitcher at Shark Tank India confused Aman Gupta as the other shark, Anupam Mittal. The owner of Growfitter, a fitness tracking app that also provides health insurance pitched business idea. Most of the sharks opted out as they didn’t like the business idea.

The boAt co-founder and CMO Aman said, “I like your energy but your business model is confused, like there is confused sperm.” Other co-sharks bursted into laughter. BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover said, “This was in Vicky Donor.”

The pitcher mistakenly referred to Aman as Anupam. Aman replied in loud and angry tone, “Kya bola mujhe (What did you call me)?”. Anupam said, “The names are confusing. Not a big deal.”

Aman Gupta later revealed that he was just messing with the pitcher and trying to have a fun time.
