The curtain has come down on Indian Idol 15 with a grand finale that delivered power-packed performances, emotional farewells, and life-changing moments for the finalists. Manasi Ghosh was crowned the winner of Indian Idol 15, taking home a brand new car and Rs 25 lakh prize money, while Sneha Shankar finished as the second runner-up, earning Rs 5 lakh and a major breakthrough in her music career.
The finale, telecast over two nights on Saturday and Sunday, saw fierce competition among the top five finalists — Manasi Ghosh, Sneha Shankar, Subhajit Chakraborty, Chaitanya Devadhe (Mauli) and Priyangshu Dutta. Ultimately, Manasi, Sneha, and Subhajit emerged as the top three.
While Manasi stole the spotlight with her commanding vocals and stage presence, Sneha Shankar, aged 19, made headlines for a different reason. Ahead of the finale, T-Series MD Bhushan Kumar surprised her by offering a recording contract, moved by her consistent and soulful performances throughout the season. The contract promises to be a turning point in her budding musical career.
The two-episode grand finale was a nostalgic ride with a ‘Grand 90s Night’ theme, featuring spectacular acts, celebrity appearances, and unforgettable melodies that paid tribute to the golden era of Bollywood music.
