Salman Khan is returning as Bigg Boss 17’s host. On Thursday evening, just a month after Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 concluded, Salman shocked fans with a new ad for the reality show. The official page of Colorstv took to Instagram to reveal the first promo for the new season.
Salman explains in the first promo that up until now, audiences had only seen the eyes, but this time, everyone will see the three avatars for the first time. ‘Dil,’ or the heart, is the first avatar. Salman is seen in the promo wearing a red kurta and smiling at the camera.
Meanwhile, in the second avatar, he is seen stating ‘Dimaag’ or the brain. Finally, Salman claims that the third part is ‘Dum,’ or power. The promo clip concludes with Salman saying, “Abhi ke liye itna hi, promo hua khatam!”
The video concludes with the show’s new logo and the tagline “Coming Soon.” The caption for the post was, “Iss baar Bigg Boss dikhaayenge ek alag rang, jisse dekhkar reh jaayenge aap sab dang.”
Reacting to the comments, one fan said, “Finally promo aa he gaya I am so excited.” Another said, “Wow I am sooooooooooo excited.” A comment read, “I can’t believe! finally!” “So excited to see what the new avatar is!”
There have been various reports about potential candidates for the show. According to a Filmibeat story, Kanwar Dhillon and Alice Kaushik are in talks to appear on Bigg Boss 17, and the producers “are keen to sign the real-life couple for the show, and discussion has reached an advanced stage.”
Then, according to an ETimes story citing show production insiders, Maitree actor Samarth has also been finalised for Bigg Boss 17. According to the source, Bigg Boss 17 will battle real-life couples against singles. This year’s Bigg Boss 17 competitors are expected to include four couples and five singles. Samarth has appeared in MTV Splitsvilla and Udaariyaan.
There were reports claiming that Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain were also approached to be a part of the show.
For more than a decade, Salman Khan has hosted Bigg Boss. The first season was hosted by Arshad Warsi, and the second season was hosted by Shilpa Shetty. Before Salman Khan was officially cast in the third season, Amitabh Bachchan stepped in.
