Ankit Gupta’s departure from Bigg Boss 16 was one of the show’s most surprising moments. Many were shocked by his eviction because it was based on the votes of his housemates rather than the audience. The actor was dismissed after the housemates were instructed to vote off the nominee with the least impact on the show. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Ankit’s close friend and rumoured love interest started crying as soon as his name was revealed and sobbed while hugging him.
As Priyanka tried to process the information, the two of them sat in the restroom together. Bigg Boss summoned all of the housemates to assemble in the living area after all of the contestants lost faith that anyone would be booted off the house. Then, Bigg Boss requested each housemate to provide the name, and Ankit Gupta was eliminated based on the votes of the majority. Ankit’s name was taken for nomination by MC Stan, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Archana Gautam, Soundarya Sharma, Shiv Thakare, and Sumbul Touqeer.
Ankit gave Priyanka his bracelet before leaving the house and told her not to give it any thought. Ankit will be shown leaving the house in the future trailer, and he will also argue with Priyanka since she won’t stop sobbing.
