When Bigg Boss season 16’s coming up promos started airing on Colors Tv, social media platforms and by numerous other media publications, it was made very clear by makers of Bigg Boss – production house, Endemol Shine and broadcasting Channel Colors Tv that this time even Bigg Boss will be playing the game. Well, that wasn’t a promotional gimmick of any sorts, but is proved every now and then in these almost 6 weeks’ tenure of Bigg Boss’s currently running season 16. And it’s not just Bigg Boss’s constant sarcastic remarks, banter and commentary on the happenings of the show but he’s legit playing. Because in the past few episodes and especially last night’s episode it was pretty clear that Bigg Boss himself has his own set of favourites this season and is trying every rule in his own-written rule book to make them shine out.

In last night’s episode of Bigg Boss season 16, Bigg Boss called in the current captain of the house, Abdu Rozik and asked him to name four of his favourite contestants from the house. When Abdu named his obvious choice, Sajid Khan, Shiv Thakare, MC Stan and Nimrit Ahluwalia, Bigg Boss played his ‘mah house mah rules’ card. Bigg Boss very smoothly, rather shamelessly revealed that considering this as Abdu’s special power of being a captain, these four contestants are safe from this week’s nominations.

Bigg Boss did not ask Abdu in front of everyone but called him inside the confession room and made this decision. Because otherwise housemates would have gone against Bigg Boss himself.

Bigg Boss clearly used the innocent Abdu Rozik to safe guard his favourites, especially Sajid Khan, because if this wasn’t done, Sajid would have been out of the house this week for sure.
