Days before entering the BB 15 house, Akasa was all recognition for her colleague, Neha, whom she would meet around in tonight’s episode. A few days before entering in BB15 house, Akasa told us, “I wanted to watch BB OTT. I caught parts of it because my mom watched it religiously. Neha is a pop star. I have never met her but one of the reasons why I am a singer is because of the band she was a part of. I have heard that she was really on the show and everyone spoke about it. I admire that quality. For a woman to be unapologetically herself in this country is a big deal and kudos to her for being that.”
How uninhibited and upfront will she be on the reality show? “On one hand, you get what you see. I am very honest and outspoken. So, there are no inhibitions as such, but there is a limit to it. I will uphold my family values, parents’ set of beliefs and won’t go against my value system. If that makes me inhibited, so be it. I won’t say something just for attention. I will be as real as possible,” she replied.
The singer, who is known for songs like Naagin let us know that after declining the proposal to take an interest and to participate in the previous editions, she, at last, responded to the call. She said, “I was approached previously, too, but I never spoke about it because it didn’t seem like a big deal. My mom is such a huge fan of the reality show and she told me to give it a try. That’s one of the reasons I decided to take it up. Also, the pandemic has put me in a different frame of mind. I have always been so protected by my family and friends. I am very close to them and have never really been away. So, it’s more of a challenge for me to see how I manage to stay away from them and their guidance. It will be more of a self-discovery. Let’s see how I react to situations under pressure.”
