Ever since Ekta Kapoor hinted about Naagin season 7 on Bigg Boss 16, fans have been wondering who will play the lead in Colors’ supernatural thriller. Speculation regarding the show has been common for a long time, particularly since Tejasswi Prakash’s Naagin 6 went off television in July 2023.
Reports earlier circulated regarding Bigg Boss 16’s Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary playing the lead in Naagin 7. Soon after that, reports circulated that Ankita Lokhande might play the lead in Naagin 7.
The Pavitra Rishta actress was locked up inside the BB 17 house, and the word spread like wildfire.
“Ankita Lokhande is in contention to play the lead role in Naagin 7. There’s a strong buzz that she will take over the charge from Tejasswi Prakash for the upcoming season. Things are in the pipeline, but yes, she is in consideration. Considering her popularity and acting prowess, she might be the perfect fit for the role of a shape-shifting serpent. Colors knows her popularity, and we wouldn’t be surprised if she signs the dotted lines for the project soon after Bigg Boss 17 gets over,” the sources suggested.
However, a report from Filmi Beat has verified that neither Ankita nor Priyanka would play the lead roles because both have declined the offer.

Meanwhile, Ankita Lokhande is married to Vicky Jain, who participated with her in Bigg Boss 17. Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary, on the other hand, is still rumoured to be dating her co-star Ankita Gupta.
