Filmmaker Sajid Khan recently made headlines with another #MeToo allegation where actress and model Dimple Paul alleged him of sexually assaulting her she when she only 17 for a role in his film Housefull. It wasn’t the first time Sajid’s name cropped up by a woman with claims of sexual harassment.
When the #MeToo movement was at its peak in Bollywood in 2018 Sajid was named by several women alleging him of sexual harassment. Following such claims he was dropped from his film Housefull 4 as the director alongside actor Nana Patekar.
Now, after these another set of fresh allegations rife ,producer Firoz Nadiadwala has confirmed he will be working with Sajid Khan on a project soon and told Bollywood Hungama, “I can’t abandon him just because it is fashionable to do.”
Firoz Nadiadwala said that Sajid has been his friend for years and he wants to work with him without paying any heed to who wants to work him and who doesn’t.
In the same conversation, Firoz rebuffed rumours of making a sequel to Awara Pagal Dewana with Sajid and said that they haven’t yet decided what project they will be working on but they are in talks.
Talking about fearing repercussions, the producer affirmed he is more focused on staying positive.
