‘Maa Vaishno Devi’ actress Preetika Chauhan granted bail in NCB drug probe

Television Actress Preetika Chauhan, who was caught and arrested by NCB is now granted bail by the magistrate’s court.

NCB arrested  Preetika Chauhan and a drug peddler from Fishermen’s Village at Versova, on 25th October, and seized 99 gm ganja from them. The actress was granted bail on Thursday (29th October). Peddler Faisal Yasin Shaikh, from whom she got drugs, was also given bail.

According to Times Of India, the report states that the two involved in the drug angle have been released on the execution of a personal bond of Rs 15,000. The bail granted by the court are on the grounds that the quantity of drugs seized from her is small and the punishment is less than a year. The case is triable by the magistrate court. The court directed that they attend the NCB office for four Saturdays to assist in the investigations.

The drug angle in Bollywood came to light after actor Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death. Actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother were arrested by NCB for the same. A few Bollywood A-listers have been questioned by the NCB in the past few months in the involvement in drugs angle case. Several arrests were made and many places were raided.

Actress Preetika Chauhan has worked in several TV shows like ‘CID’, ‘Savdhaan India’ and ‘Hanuman’. TV serials ‘Devo ke Dev Mahadev’ and ‘Maa Vaishno Devi’ were one of the famous shows.
