It is quite challenging to top NBC’s renowned One Chicago series, which consists of the three excellent shows Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD, all of which have been on the air for a very long period. Some fans continue to watch these captivating shows that are succeeding well in the crowded market despite the majority of viewers switching to OTT platforms.
The One Chicago shows took a midseason break prior to Christmas, just with most network television programmes. On December 11, 2022, the last episode of each of these three shows aired. This week, on January 4, 2023, they are all scheduled to return.
All three of them will air back-to-back, with Chicago Med getting the first slot at 8.00 pm EST, Chicago Fire at 9.00 pm EST, and Chicago PD at 10.00 pm EST. The closely related shows will bring back all the excitement to the television screens this week.
All three One Chicago shows concluded their runs in their respective midseason finales with some gripping drama.
The newest of the three series, Chicago Med, had a fantastic season before to the break. A Little Change Might Do You Some Good, the headline of the forthcoming Chicago Med episode, will take some of the doctors out of the hospital and into some more interesting settings. The forthcoming episode’s synopsis is as follows:
“Charles and Cuevas help an elderly patient and her developmentally disabled grandson; Halstead treats a swimmer with a heart condition; Marcel considers using the OR 2.0 for surgery; Asher and Lieu search for a pregnant woman lost in the woods.”
The eleventh season of Chicago Fire was also highly emotionally taxing, with almost too much drama developing over the years. Some of the most crucial members of the firefighting squad will be in great risk in the upcoming episode. Something for the Pain is the name of the upcoming episode of the show, and the plot summary is as follows:
“Detective Pryma’s case comes to an explosive end with Kidd and Carver’s lives in danger; Brett installs an infant safe surrender box at 51; Violet is determined to take Emma down.”
Coming to the final show of the One Chicago series, Chicago PD is often credited for being the most intense of the trio. It also had a brilliant mid-season finale that was quite well-rated by fans.
In the upcoming Chicago PD episode, one of Ruzek’s (Patrick Flueger) friends will join in on some new collaborations. The Job’s episode synopsis reads as follows:
“A series of brutal home invasion robberies finds the team paired with Detective Borkowski, an old friend of Ruzek’s, to work the case; things get complicated for Torres when it becomes clear Borkowski has a vastly different policing style.”
The first episode of each of the three One Chicago episodes will air on NBC on January 4, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
