Enforcement Directorate has spread its investigation probe after the leaked Whatsapp chats of Rhea Chakraborty with drug dealers which is a new angle raised in the case. After investigating Rhea’s talent manager Jaya Saha, ED has issued summons to hotelier Gaurav Arya who is currently based in Goa. In an interview with Times Now, Gaurav Arya said that he is not a drug peddler the way media is portraying him as, he is a respectful hotelier and has not even seen Rhea since three years.
Giving out a statement to Times Now Arya said, ” I am dragged in the matter unnecessarily. My family is harrowed. Am getting death threats. Whatever the issue is.. am willing to comply with the authorities. My lawyer is in touch. Am right here. Am not going anywhere.” Gaurav Arya’s name came into the light when the Whatsapp chats of Rhea Chakraborty were accessed from year 2017, which read “You have md?” “Incase we speak about hard drugs, I haven’t been doing too much. Tried MDMA once.”
ED has called Rhea’s father Indrajeet Chakraborty for investigation today and even Showik Chakraborty, Rhea’s brother has already reached to Central Bureau of Investigation to record his statements. While a few past reports have indicated that Rhea too shall be summoned by CBI, according to her lawyer Satish Maneshinde, she has not received any notice yet.
