Dia Mirza denies consumption or procurement of drugs, after her name surfaces in the Bollywood drug case

A day after Deepika Padukone’s name surfaced in the drugs nexus case, it is reported that Dia Mirza also has a connection with the case.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s case has brought out a whole new drugs angle, wherein several celebrities have come under the scanner of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). While recently, actress Deepika Padukone’s name came out in the Bollywood Drug Nexus, another big name has joined the list of celebs that are under the scanner.

Dia Mirza has been the recent name that has been added to the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood. According to the reports of Pinkvilla, the ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ actor’s name was taken by drug peddler Anuj Keshwani, during his interrogation. The report also claimed that Dia will be summoned soon by the agency for interrogation. However, the actress has cut off the reports of her involvement in the case.

It is now reported that Keshwani had stated that Dia’s manager used to supply drugs to the actress as per the request. NCB has also got some details of drugs bought by Dia in 2019. In fact, it is claimed that the actress had also met the drug peddler. Several reports in the media also suggest that NCB might send a summon to Dia’s manager first for an interrogation followed by the actress in connection with the drugs nexus. On the counter part, Dia has issued a statement in this regard and has nullified the reports of her consuming or procuring drugs.

Dia took it to her twitter handle and tweeted, “I would like to strongly refute and categorically deny this news as being false, baseless and with mala fide intentions. Such frivolous reporting has a direct impact on my reputation being besmirched and is causing damage to my career which I have painstakingly built with years of hard work. I have never procured or consumed any narcotic or contraband substances of any form in my life. I intend to pursue the full extent of legal remedies available to me as a law abiding citizen of India. Thanks to my supporters for standing by me.”

Here are the series of tweet:

Currently, Jaya Saha’s WhatsApp chats accessed by NCB revealed that Deepika’s managee Karishma Prakash was buying drugs for her. Apart from Deepika, several other big names have surfaced in the case which includes Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh. It was reported that the main accused Rhea Chakraborty had taken Sara and Rakul’s name and had also stated that they consumed drugs with her and Sushant. Following her statement, these actresses have been on the NCB’s radar.
