
Deepika Padukone‘s name was revealed by the chats of Jaya Saha, Sushant Singh Rajput’s talent manager. In the alleged chats, Deepika was seen discussing ‘maal, weed and hash’ with her manager in 2017. Based on it, reportedly, Deepika was issued a summon by the NCB.
The actress was busy shooting for her next project with director Shakun Batra in Goa, is now set to appear before NCB tomorrow. She is expected to leave the city for Mumbai in the afternoon today at 1:30 via a private charter. Ahead of it, Pinkvilla has reported that Mumbai Police has been asked to deploy additional security at the NCB office tomorrow ahead of her visit.
Apart from Deepika, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh also have been summoned by the NCB for questioning. Designer Simone Khambatta was also called for questioning today at the NCB office after her alleged drug chats with Rhea Chakraborty were discovered. The designer arrived at the NCB for a probe today. Shruti Modi was also called for a probe in the case. Times now has reported that Rakul Preet’s team has denied getting any summon so she is unlikely to appear today. The channel has also reported saying she was issued a digital summon by NCB. Later on, she went on to acknowledge the summoning.
