In a press release to the Supreme Court, he Bihar Police have recently accused the Mumbai Police for giving a helping hand to Rhea Chakraborty. They further contended, this is obstructing its investigations in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Rhea has challenged Patna Police’s jurisdiction in the investigations.
After Sushant Singh Rajput’s father filed an FIR against his son’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, for threatening and cheating him, Patna Police launched a new investigation.
Later on, the Bihar government told the Supreme Court that Patna Police does have jurisdiction in this case as KK Singh, Sushant’s father had lodged an FIR against Rhea. In the affidavit it is said, “In the present case the victim is the informant, Krishna Kishore Singh who has lost his young, vibrant son due to the act committed by the accused persons including the petitioner.”
Patna Police also examined the late actor’s bank accounts without any cooperation from the Mumbai Police. The Bihar government said, “The case is sensitive and has interstate ramifications, so a CBI probe was recommended.”
Further, Bihar complained that Mumbai Police forcibly quarantining IPS officer Vinay Tiwary was an obstacle in the investigation of the case. Mumbai’s Civic body BMC did not release him, even after Supreme Court’s observation on quarantining the officer.
Bihar government further argued that, “The Mumbai Police action casts aspersion on it and it is apparently siding with Rhea. Mumbai police probe is only on the unnatural death of actor and has a limited scope.”
The affidavit further said that, “Rhea and her relative Indrajeet, Sandhya, Shovik used to interfere with Sushant’s life.” She “gave an impression” that Sushant Singh Rajput was mentally ill. Sushant Rajput’s father also alleged that doctors treating him were part of a conspiracy.
