Anurag Kashyap denies Payal Ghosh’s sexual misconduct allegations after being questioned for 8 hours

Anurag Kashyap denies all allegations made by Payal Ghosh regarding the sexual misconduct by the filmmaker. He called them ‘baseless and malicious’.

Anurag Kashyap was questioned yesterday by the Mumbai Police yesterday after Payal Ghosh complained to them about sexual misconduct against the filmmaker. A recent news channel report confirmed that Anurag had denied all charges against him after being grilled by the police for 8 hours.

Last month, the actress tweeted all the allegations of sexual misconduct against the filmmaker and said that he forced himself upon her. Along with that, she went to the Mumbai Police to file a complaint after which Anurag was called for questioning yesterday. After being grilled continuously by the police, Anurag has denied all charges and allegations against him and has never met Payal at his Versova residence, according to CNN News 18’s report. He added that he only knew her in a professional capacity.

According to Pinkvilla, “The actress recently met up with the Union Minister Ramdas Athawale regarding her complaint. The minister supported the actress and demanded justice for her. Then, Payal even met up Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari and asked for Y+ security citing a threat to her life.”

Anurag Kashyap called the allegations ‘baseless and malicious’ in a statement that was released on his social media via his lawyer. Actresses like Kalki Koechlin, Radhika Apte, Mahie Gill, and more supported the filmmaker and released a statement regarding the same after Payal’s allegations.
