Gulabo Sitabo trailer: Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana, breathe life into yet another real-life scenario
Have you ever said to your landlord, “Mujhe Godh Lelo” (Adopt me)? Have you ever had banter with your landlord over delayed rents? Has your landlord ever charged you extra for all those unnecessary vacant places that you occupied for your belongings?
If anything, similar has ever happened to you or even if you are new to these things, Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is here to tell a precious love-saga of a landlord and his tenant, that will make you roll on the grounds with tears in your eyes. (Tears out of sheer fun, I meant)
The much-awaited trailer of award-winning director Shoojit-Sircar is out now starring our favourites, Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan. In an unprecedented move for a movie with such a big-budget, this will be released on 12th June’20 on Amazon Prime Video.
Set in the backdrop of Lucknow, the story follows a young, stubborn man (Ayushmann) and his argumentative, uncooperative landlord (Amitabh), who is emotionally invested in his old haveli. The two minutes and forty seconds trailer will take you to the lives of these two quirky characters — who are in a constant fight over the ‘haveli’, attracting lawsuits, bitter chats, threats to take over the land and an endless cribbing between the two characters. We cannot say if it’s going to be a bitter-sweet story, but this relationship between a landlord and his tenant would be a unique drama to look out for!
Amitabh Bachchan always mesmerises us with his talent to slip in the skin of any character effortlessly and so smoothly that the audience forgets who is who! And Ayushmann has already proved his versatility to play any sort of role. In this trailer, he is as convincing as in any other movie of his. This duo is sure to raise the expectations and teaming up with a talented director is already a plus.
The trailer looks promising and we can’t wait for the film after this one. Gulabo Sitabo is written by Juhi Chaturvedi and also stars Vijay Raaz in a supporting role,
