Dressed in a white shirt paired with blue jeans and striking red footwear, Aishwarya sported a cast on her wrist, a reminder of her recent injury. She came to the polling station to cast her vote in the fifth phase of the ongoing seven phase of Lok Sabha elections in India.
Reports indicate that Aishwarya sustained a wrist injury recently and will soon undergo surgery. A source close to the actor revealed, “Aishwarya broke her wrist over the weekend and thus had to get a cast on. However, she was adamant that she wants to keep her Cannes tradition going. Thus, even after the injury, she completed her professional commitments and made it to Cannes.”
The source further added that Aishwarya consulted specialists and her doctors before traveling to France for the Cannes Film Festival. “Her surgery is scheduled for later next week,” the source said.
Aishwarya recently returned from the 77th Cannes Film Festival, where she made waves with her red carpet appearances. Accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, she was spotted at Mumbai airport on Sunday, just a day before casting her vote.
