The series, written by Mayank Tewari, is set in a small town in Odisha and follows the life of London-based financial analyst Priya Das. Das seeks for her father when he vanishes under suspicious circumstances. When she meets the unusual Bondia tribe in Odisha, her inquiry leads her to an unjustified connection between nature and people. The show tries to explore mankind’s insatiable greed and how it impacts nature.

Speaking further about what the show entails, Panda says, “The Jengaburu Curse is the first Indian cli-fi thriller series. The show delves deep into the repercussions of mankind’s relentless pursuit of natural resources, revealing the alarming consequences that follow.
