Vijay has signed on for his next film, tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 68,’ with director Venkat Prabhu. Vijay and Venkat Prabhu’s first collaboration is in this film.
According to sources, the film will begin production in the first week of October. The official announcement of the film’s cast and crew has yet to be made.
According to reports, the film’s digital rights have been purchased for a hefty sum by an international OTT platform. The digital rights to the film were purchased for the highest fee ever paid in the Tamil cinema business. Netflix is said to have purchased the rights. However, there has been no formal confirmation of this.
Meanwhile, Vijay’s ‘Leo’ is scheduled to hit theatres on October 19. Lokesh Kanagaraj directs the film.Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham, Mathew Thomas, and Sandy star in the film. Expectations are high after director Lokesh Kanakaraj and Vijay’s first collaboration, Master, was a great success.
According to reports, Leo would do a 24-hour fan show in Kerala. Under the direction of Vijay fan Priyamudan Nanpans, marathon shows are being organised at SA Multiplex in Pulluvila, Thiruvananthapuram. The event will begin on October 19 at 7, 11, 2, 6, 9.30, 11.59 a.m., and conclude on October 20 at 4 a.m. The star’s fan group is also planning to help pupils with financial aid.
The Route Production House, owned by Vijay, confirmed the release of the movie which helped fans have an idea for the countdown. The movie will be released on October 19 during the Dussehra holidays in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi.
