That rude little teddy bear everyone loves to hate (or just loves) is coming back. The Peacock show Ted, Seth MacFarlane’s hilarious prequel to the movies, got renewed fast after smashing records as one of the streamer’s biggest hits ever. Now, with production wrapped up, the countdown starts for more ’90s-style chaos.

Official Premiere Date for Ted Season 2

Circle March 5, 2026 on the calendar. That’s when all eight episodes of Ted Season 2 land on Peacock at once, ready for binge-watching. Peacock dropped the news back in December 2025, complete with some teaser photos showing the gang gearing up for senior year mayhem.

The first season launched in January 2024 with seven episodes and blew up big time. This time around, fans get one extra episode, and the drop comes a little over two years later – but hey, good things take time, especially with all that bear CGI magic.

Plot Tease: What’s Next for Ted and John?

Things pick up in 1994, right into senior year for John Bennett and his potty-mouthed best buddy Ted. High school hits peak drama – think awkward crushes, wild parties, family headaches, and Ted dragging everyone into ridiculous trouble. The mix stays the same: crude jokes, big laughs, some surprisingly sweet moments, and tons of ’90s throwbacks.

Seth MacFarlane handles creator duties, directs episodes, and voices Ted again. The writing team, led by Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, promises even sharper humor this round.

Who’s Back in the Cast?

Pretty much the whole crew returns:

  • Seth MacFarlane as the voice (and motion capture) of Ted
  • Max Burkholder as young John Bennett
  • Scott Grimes playing John’s dad, Matty
  • Alanna Ubach as John’s mom, Susan
  • Giorgia Whigham as cousin Blaire, always stirring the pot

Fresh faces pop up too, including Kyle Mooney and Liz Richman in new roles. The vibes from season one carry over strong – that buddy comedy energy shines through.
