Hidden figures revolve around 3 African-American mathematicians who are instrumental in astronaut John Glenn’s launch into the orbit. 3- Captain Marvel
A true Marvel fan knows this is one of the best Marvel movies in the series. Captain Marvel centres Brie Larson as Danvers who gets separated from her Kree warrior team and is stranded on Earth. A few events take place and she teams up with Fury and becomes a S.H.I.E.L.D agent. This inspires many young women as it shows their power which takes everyone’s heart away.

4- No One Killed Jessica
The Vidya Balan and Rani Mukerji starrer No One Killed Jessica is based on a real-life incident. Sabrina Lal played by Vidya Balan joins hands with Meera (Rani Mukerji), a journalist, to seek justice for her sister Jessica who was murdered by an influential politician’s son. Vidya and Rani give promising performances and the engaging script makes it a super interesting watch.

5- Million Dollar Baby
This Oscar-winning movie stars Hilary Swank, Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman as the main leads. Eastwood plays a veteran boxing trainer who is distant to everyone except Morgan’s character, Dupris. When Hilary meets Eastwood’s character at his gym to seek his advice, he refuses in the beginning. Later, he agrees and both of them form a close bond which changes everything for both of them. Hilary won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her mind-blowing performance.

6- Queen
The Kangana Ranaut starrer Queen is based on a small-town female character whose wedding was called off at the last moment by Vijay played by Rajkumar Rao. Irrespective, she decides to take her honeymoon to Europe alone and during the trip, she discovers new friends and a new side of the rather docile character she thought she had. Kangana’s sweet but compelling performance makes it a must-watch.

7-The Babadook
Women are always underrepresented in horror films but the Essie Davis starrer changes the scenario. Essie plays a single mother who is disturbed by the brutal death of her husband. Essie’s son fears that a monster is lurking in the house and soon she feels the spirits around her too. Essie and child artist Noah Wiseman gives us a beautiful film which can give us the perfect watch on a Saturday night with dim lights.
