Netflix announces Pokemon Concierge – Watch teaser

On Monday, February 27, 2023, Netflix announced the new Pokemon Concierge stop-motion animated series. Pokemon Concierge is set to be produced in collaboration with the Eponymous Franchise Company and Dwarf Studios.

Netflix released an English-subtitled trailer alongside the announcement of the series. The trailer of the anime series was tweeted on Netflix Anime’s official Twitter handle and also posted on Netflix’s Instagram Handle. On Twitter, the video was tweeted with the caption, “brought to you by Netflix and The Pokémon Company, “Pokémon Concierge” tells the story of Haru, a concierge at the Pokémon Resort, and her interactions with Pokémon and their owners who visit as guests.” The Instagram post had the same caption.

Unfortunately, there is no information on the release date, as the trailer ended with “Coming Soon”. The fans are predicting that the series will premiere sometime in 2023. The series will follow Haru, a worker at the Pokemon resort, and Psyduck, who will meet trainers and their companions while they are on a vacation.  The trailer features Haru’s voice, who explains that at the resort, the Pokemons are the guests and she claims that the story is one which follows that of the Resort’s concierge, likely being Haru and Psyduck themselves.

The trailer also shows some of the stop- motion animation, although brief, the stop-motion animation seems to be of high quality. The show will not have Ash Ketchum as its protagonist, instead fans will meet two protagonists, Liko and Roy, who will be accompanied by ninth-generation starters Grass-type Sprigatito, Fire-type Fuecoco, and Water-type Quaxly.
