Netflix is free for everyone in India for today and tomorrow. The company is running the StreamFest 2020 for the first time, and that too in India. During the 48 hours, users can choose to watch any show or movie on Netflix for free.

Netflix StreamFest 2020, scheduled to start at 12.01 pm on December 5, will end at 11.59 pm on December 6. The entire catalogue of Netflix including movies, TV shows, and documentaries is free for users in India. You will also have access to Netflix features such as creating profiles, parental controls, creating lists, and also downloading movies and shows. Netflix is allowing one stream in standard definition, and only one user can stream from one account at a time. If you want to watch Netflix for free, you will have to create an account which you can do so through the browser or from its Android app. Only one user can log in through the registered Netflix account at a time.


In case you get a message that reads “StreamFest is at capacity”, Netflix will notify you once there is a slot available for you to watch content on its platform for free. The company is limiting the number of viewers during StreamFest for everyone to get the best user experience.

Netflix StreamFest 2020 is the company’s attempt to lure binge-watchers to subscribe to its service in India. Netflix is one of the most popular streaming services in India, and also one of the most expensive with monthly plans starting at ₹499 per month, and ₹199 per month for mobile. The company competes  Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Hotstar, and Zee5, among others, in the growing over the top (OTT) market in India.
