The webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman served as the inspiration for the British coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama television series Heartstopper, which is currently streaming on Netflix. Charlie Spring (Joe Locke), a gay high school student who falls in love with Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), a classmate he sits next to in his new shape, is the main character of the Oseman-created series. Darcy (Corinna Brown), Elle (Yasmin Finney), Tara (William Gao), and Tara’s lives are also examined (Kizzy Edgell).
