
The famous Kaiju turtle Gamera is back in a brand-new anime series on Netflix. The six-part animation, which is now in production, will thrill many devoted viewers and introduce one of Japan’s most recognisable monsters to a whole new generation. Here is what we currently know about the 2023 Netflix release.
This next Japanese Netflix Original animation series will be directed by Death Note director Shusuke Kaneko. The Japanese media firm Kadokawa is in charge of producing the anime.
Director Shusuke Kaneko said in a statement, “When I came up with my own idea for Reiwa Gamera and made a proposal, KADOKAWA has already started a new project, and it’s content that makes me think that’s what happened, so I can expect this too. With that in mind, I would like to support the team from the position of a baseball commentator who has experience as a manager of the Gamera team until they win the championship and pitch again.”

The plot of Gamera: Rebirth
There isn’t much plot information for the anime yet, but there is enough for a brief overview;
Gamera, the Kaiju turtle, makes a comeback to save the planet from five other Kaiju who are out to end it.

Netflix hasn’t announced an official release date for the anime series. However, it is certain that the six-part series will air sometime in 2023.
