Dahan trailer: Tisca Chopra and Saurabh Shukla’s show combines mythology with the paranormal

Dahan, starring Tisca Chopra, Saurabh Shukla, and Rajesh Tailang among others, will begin streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on September 16.

Horror and myths can be a lethal mix, and the most recent thriller on Disney+ Hotstar, Dahan – Raakan ka Rahasya, is slated to follow suit. The Tisca Chopra and Saurabh Shukla movie’s trailer, which debuted on Tuesday, has fascinated viewers. The nine-episode series, directed by Vikranth Pawar, would begin with a mining expedition in the village and open the doors to a future filled with terror.

According to Saurabh Shukla, the programme Dahan painstakingly weaves a story of myths, stories, and superstitions. Playing Pramukh puts me in the sights of the fervent beliefs that surround the town and its inhabitants, he claimed. He fears what he worships, yet is too afraid to break the bond, which is one characteristic that sets this individual apart.

A bloody incident occurs as someone tries to enter the cave’s depths at the beginning of the trailer. Cut to the present, where Tisca Chopra, an IAS official, is given the task of creating a mining operation that would take her to the same “cursed mine.” She pushes forward, opening the Pandora’s Box of horrible occurrences around her, despite the villagers and godmen warning her of the outcome. The mystery deaths and disappearances compound her problems as she struggles with long-standing superstition. The nine-part television series, which was filmed in Rajasthan, tells the story of cursed caverns, undiscovered riches, and family secrets.

As each character confronts their own problems, Tisca Chopra said she was particularly taken by the way Dahan depicted the visceral dread in her most recent production. “When my character Avani Raut is caught in the crossfire of superstition and the paranormal, and practicality on the other, she fights personal and professional struggles. She added in a statement that the show “puts her on a search by creating similarities between her exterior and psychological worries, which we all experience.

Dahan is written by Nisarg Mehta, Shiva Bajpai and Nikhil Nair and bankrolled by Banijay Asia, Deepak Dhar, and Rishi Negi. Starting September 16, it will stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
