Plot of Beef

Given the common usage of the term “beef,” the show’s name alludes to the continuous conflict between the two main characters as a result of a road-rage incident that acts as the primary impetus for the plot. A real-life traffic dispute that shows creator Lee Sung Jin experienced with a stranger served as the inspiration for the series.

Release date of Beef

The comedy-drama is scheduled to have its debut on March 18, 2023, at the SXSW Festival. With a release date of April 6, 2023, it will start exclusively streaming on Netflix soon after. Each of the ten episodes will be released at the same time and last around 30 minutes.

On March 15, Netflix released the first Beef trailer. The film begins with the two main protagonists, Amy Lau (Ali Wong) and Danny Cho (Steven Yeun), each of whom is going through their own personal struggles. Danny struggles to make ends meet while Amy lives a luxury existence. The two could not be more unlike. They meet after a tragic road rage incident that quickly turns into an impulsive vehicle pursuit. It doesn’t stop there, though, as their mutual rage drives them to an obsessional degree. In their determination to end each other’s life because “Revenge is best served raw,” Amy and Danny keep running into each other.
