The wait is over, “Avatar: The Way of Water” is making it’s OTT debut on Disney+ Hotstar and Max.
The release date for James Cameron’s Avatar sequel is set for June 7. Disney+ Hotstar will include additional content that includes behind the scenes footage of the cast and crew in addition to the movie. Avatar: The Way of Water was digitally distributed on all significant markets, including Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, and ApplyTV+, three months prior to the streaming service’s debut. The home release of Avatar 2 included the movie and three hours of making-of material.
Both the Avatar movies broke all the box office records. The first movie set a new record for overall box office revenue. The part 2, made a $500 million profit and came in third place at the box office, just behind Avengers Endgame.

Additionally, the movie received generally positive reviews from critics and viewers, earning it four Oscar nominations, including the best picture. Cameron claimed that rather than the utilisation of technology, audiences gravitated to the movies because they cared about the characters in Avatar. The director insisted that technology must be changed in order to give fans a better representation of their favourite characters.
He further added,”The success of the film is not due to technology. Because I believe that people care about the characters, I’ve actually kind of embargoed talking about the film’s technical production.”
