3 major Sankranthi films are set to release this week on OTT – Find out when and where to watch

Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya, and Varisu are presently getting ready to make their OTT debuts this week.

This Sankranthi season, when movies like Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya, Varisu, and Thunivu were launched in theatres, the South Indian people were quite excited. Three of these four significant releases are presently getting ready to make their OTT debuts this week.

The first is ‘Varisu’, which will make its Amazon Prime debut on the 22nd of this month (Varasudu in Telugu). On Amazon, the movie is available for streaming in South Indian languages. A man who is the son of a business tycoon is the subject of this family drama. Unfavorable circumstances compel him to take over his father’s enterprise. The Tamil movie was directed by Vamshi Paidipally, and R Sarath Kumar, Jayasudha, Khushboo, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, and Sangeetha Krish all had supporting parts. The movie was a great success at the box office, grossing more than 250 crores globally.

Then there is ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Sankranthi hit that is finally preparing for an OTT release. Hotstar + Disney now offers the movie for streaming. The Telugu movie’s popular themes, upbeat music, and dialogue by Balakrishna received praise. Shruti Haasan plays the female protagonist in the Gopichand Malineni-directed film, which also stars Kannada actor Duniya Vijay as the antagonist. The movie also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Honey Rose, Lal, Chandrika Ravi, and P. Ravi Shankar. S Thaman, who is financially supported by the prominent Mythri Cinema Makers brand, wrote the soundtrack.

Last but not the least is ‘Waltair Veerayya’, which will make its Netflix debut on February 27. This movie capitalised on the Sankranthi season to sell out quickly at the box office. It is an action comedy movie in Telugu that was made by Mythri Movie Makers and was directed by Bobby Kolli. Together with Catherine Tresa, Shruti Haasan, and Ravi Teja, Chiranjeevi plays the title role in the movie.
