Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda passed away in Chandigarh on Wednesday (October 8, 2025), 11 days after sustaining critical injuries in a road accident. The 35-year-old artist was declared dead at 10:55 a.m. by doctors at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, where he had been on life support since being admitted.
Jawanda met with a serious accident on September 27 in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district while traveling to Shimla on a motorcycle. He suffered severe head and spine injuries and later experienced a cardiac arrest before being shifted to the hospital in critical condition.
Hailing from village Pona in Jagraon, Ludhiana, Jawanda was one of the rising stars in Punjabi music, known for his popular tracks such as “Kali Jawande Di,” “Khush Reha Kar,” “Sardari,” “Tu Dis Penda,” “Landlord,” and “Kangani.”
In addition to his music career, Jawanda also made his mark in Punjabi cinema, appearing in films like “Subedar Joginder Singh” (2018), “Jind Jaan” (2019), and “Mindo Taseeldarni” (2019).
His untimely demise has left the Punjabi entertainment industry and his fans in deep shock, mourning the loss of a talented and humble artist who had just begun to make a lasting mark in both music and films.
