‘Trash Loves Trash’ says Sona Mohapatra as Anu Malik returns as a judge on Indian Idol 12

Tagging Union Minister Smriti Irani Sona Mohapatra has asserted that it is a disgrace that Anu Malik is on the judging panel.

Singer Sona Mohapatra took a dig at the reality musical show Indian Idol 12 and its judge Anu Malik on Twitter. Indian Idol 12 has seen the return of Anu Malik as a judge.

Reacting to ‘Me Too’ denounced musician Anu Malik, who is returning as a judge on the prominent singing reality show “Indian Idol”, Sona reacted strongly to Anu Malik and the show as “trash”.

After a Twitter user tweeted, “#Indiaidol #sonytv seems like #AnuMalik has been absolved of the #metoo allegations. @sonamohapatra. He is firmly in #judge seat since the past few weeks (sic),” Sona Mohapatra retweeted with a sharp reply tweeting, “Trash loves trash (sic).”

Sona also made a tweet tagging Union Minister Smriti Irani asserting that it is a disgrace to have Anu Malik back as a judge.

For the unknowns, Anu Malik was condemned for sexual harassment during the #MeToo movement by some of the famous artists from the music fraternity like Neha Bhasin, Shweta Pandit, and Sona Mohapatra herself.

Subsequently, Anu strode down from the role of ‘Indian Idol’ judge and later, when the controversy died down, he states the accusations levelled against him.

In fact, Malik had asked for ‘justice’ in his statement on the social media and written, “The show must go on. But behind this happy face, I am in pain. I am in a dark space. And justice is all I want.”
