Guru Randhawa’s Birthday: Journey from Gurdaspur to B-Town!

Famous for with his beats and punjabi lyrics, Randhawa turned 29 on 30th August.

From ‘Suit Suit’ to ‘Made in India’, this ‘High rated Gabru’ has always got his fans on the dance floor with his grooving songs. Guru Randhawa, who marks his 29th birthday today. Be it Punjabi, Indi-pop or Bhangra and Bollywood music Randhawa makes the country move on his music tunes. Born as Gursharanjot Singh Randhawa in Gurdaspur, this music composer took his first step towards music while performing in small functions and parties in Gurdaspur and later in Delhi. Only a few know that Guru completed his MBA degree while struggling with his music in Delhi.

Randhawa began his career in singing in year 2012 with a song ‘Same Girl’ collaborating with another musician, which did not go well with the audience. But the motivation did not flee and he decided to make his individual debut song called ‘Chadd Gayi’ and in the same year came up with his own album ‘Page One.’ After two years of struggling, he made ‘Patola’ with rapper Bohemia which was liked a lot by audience. The song refurbished his identity as a whole and brought him fame, his fans shuffle through his older songs even today.

The next step was to get in the B-Town, which Guru achieved to do through his song ‘Suit Suit’ in the movie Hindi Medium, year 2017. Not looking back, Randhawa has plenty of Punjabi and Hindi songs in his baggage including- ‘Lahore’, ‘Ishq Tera’, ‘Morni Banke’, ‘Ishaare Tere’, ‘Ban Ja Rani’ and a lot more.

Being at the peak of his career, singer is quite active on social platforms with 19.9 millions followers on Instagram and even has a website of his own. Randhawa has performed on various stages till now-including opening ceremony of Indian Premier League.
