In 2019, everyone anticipated the reunion of the actor-director duo, Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the film ‘Inshallah’ that would also star Alia Bhatt in the lead role. Given that the duo had delivered two classics before, the excitement and aniticipation was justified. However, the project fell apart and never saw the light of day.
When the film was announced, Salman spoke to Mumbai Mirror about Alia Bhatt and how he was excited to work alongside the actress. He said, “ “See how she’s turned it around, from a student to now, it’s beautiful! And no one can take credit for her growth except Alia herself. Jo bhi bole humne usko banaya hai, is not to be believed. It’s Alia who has honed her talent.”
Salman further added that Alia was a ‘godown of talent’ who would be collaborating with a ‘bundle of talent’, referring to himself. However, later speaking about himself, Salman utilized his usual cheeky humour and said, “Actually there’s no talent here”, jokingly
Though Inshallah fell through the cracks, Alia will be featuring in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The teaser of the film came out earlier this year and has generated a lot of hype ever since.
