Telugu blockbuster ‘Dookudu’ to be remade in Bollywood, actors and directors yet to be finalized

2011 Telegu blockbuster ‘Dookudu’ starring Mahesh Babu is all set to have a remake in Bollywood. Eros International is said to have bought the remake rights of the film and a top star is said to be I talks for the film.

According to reports in Bollywood Hungama, a source told the portal, “After Pokiri, Dookudu is among the most loved films of Mahesh Babu down South, and the premise stands a potential to be remade in Hindi. Back in the past, the remake of the film was planned with actors like Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn, but things didn’t materialize. However, finally, it’s set for a Hindi remake with a top star.” The production house has also apparently paid a hefty sum to get the rights and the film would be made in a big-budget. The director’s name too has not been finalized yet.

Mahesh Babu was seen playing the role of an IPS officer. The film was about the police officer’s fight against mafia and drug dealing. Sonu Sood was also seen in a pivotal role.
