Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur to complete shoot for ‘Jersey’; begin 15 days outdoor shoot schedule

Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur are all set for their upcoming film named ‘Jersey’ which is a remake of a Telugu film with the same title. Both the actors have already flown to begin the shoot in Chandigarh which was halted for about 6 months due to global pandemic condition. As per a report by Mumbai Mirror a source revealed, “We will kick off with a 15-day outdoor schedule in Dehradun and Chandigarh. We won’t be shooting any cricketing portions, just some dramatic and emotional scenes between Mrunal Thakur and Shahid.”

The sports-drama is going to be about a Cricket player who decides to return to the game in his mid age. The report also suggests that Shahid has been brushing up his Cricket skills to look professional in the film and his proper training shall commence only in October-end after the rains stop in the location. The plan is to wrap up the film by December and target a 2021 release. The post production work has been going on through the lockdown, with teams working remotely from their homes,” as put by Mumbai Mirror.

On the side note, after finishing the remaining scenes for Jersey, actor will start shooting for Shahank Khaitan’s upcoming film ‘Yoddha.’
