Sanjay Leela Bhansali to resume shooting for Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt after testing positive for COVID-19

Alia Bhatt also to be back resuming work for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi.’

Sanjay Leela Bhansali tested positive for COVID-19 lately, and that lead to a halt in the production of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi.’ Alia Bhatt had too taken the test for COVID-19 as well, and that came out negative.

Alia Bhatt took to her social media to thank everyone that sent her kind messages of concern for her health. She wrote, “I’ve been reading all your messages of concern and care. I have tested negative for COVID 19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctor, I am back to work today. Thank you for all your good wishes! I’m taking care & staying safe. Talking about the production of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, which is in halt for now, as the director of the film is undergoing treatment for COVID-19. But, according to the new update on the film’s production, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ will resume production by march end.

A source close to development revealed, “If all goes as planned, then Mr Bhansali and Alia are targeting to resume shooting for Gangubai Kathiawadi by this month-end. The remaining portions with Ajay Devgn will be shot later once fresh dates are alloted by the actor.”

Earlier, on director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday, the teaser and first poster of the film Gangubai Kathiawadi was unveiled. Since the film fraternity and the fans are eagerly waiting for the movie.
