Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur is based on the real-life story of India’s first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. Fans can’t stop gushing about Vicky Kaushal in the titular role as well as calling the film a blockbuster.

Sam Bahadur OTT Release 

Sam Bahadur will be made available on OTT juggernaut Zee5. The OTT release date for the movie has not been revealed yet.

Earlier, Vicky Kaushal addressed the relevance of Sam Bahadur for today’s generation. The actor shared, “The reason behind making the film is not because he is the first Field Marshal, but because of the person he was. He truly is a role model. And if anything you can draw inspiration from, I think it’s his life. He understood the social strata of the country, and he has been there for the common people.”

Sam Bahadur is set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war where Sam Manekshaw led the Indian Army, following which a new nation Bangladesh was born. Sam Bahadur also stars Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Govind Namdev, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Neeraj Kabi among others.
