Much has been said about the Hindi remake of Telugu movie Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. According to reports, makers are contemplating between Ranveer Singh and Kartik Aryan. Allu Arjun played the lead of the same movie in the Telugu language. Telugu film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ also starred Pooja Hegde, Tabu, and Nivetha Pethuraj in lead roles. The movie received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike.
Buzz is that Allu Arjun and S Radha Krishna will produce the Hindi remake for which the script has already been locked. Rohit Dhawan of Desi Boyz fame will helm the project instead of Trivikram if reports are anything to go by. The report stated that Ranveer suits the role perfectly and the makers are looking at casting him. However, one school of thought is to also cast the much younger Kartik Aaryan. The report also added that the makers are slightly tilted towards Ranveer, more so after how he had his interpretation of the character in ‘Simmba’ which was also a remake of south film, ‘Temper’.
Looks like South Indian films, especially Telugu, seem to be all the rage in Bollywood these days what with Puri Jagannadh’s next with Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey, Fighter, also being made in Hindi. Remakes of Dear Comrade, Bheeshma, and a few other films are also in the works.
On the work front, Ranveer Singh’s ’83 release date is on hold due to COVID-19 pandemic and Kartik Aaryan on other hand “Bhool Bhulaiyaan 2” co-starring Kiara Advani shooting is on hold for the same reason.
Apart from this, Ranveer also has Karan Johar’s magnum opus, ‘Takht’. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi, and Anil Kapoor.
